Summary

THE USE OF WATER-VAPOUR AS REFRIGERANT OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF TECHNICAL, ECONOMICAL AND ECOLOGICAL ADVANTAGES. TYPICAL CAPACITIES FOR ONE UNIT ARE IN THE RANGE OF 500 KILOWATTS TO ABOUT 3.5 MEGAWATTS AND ARE THEREFORE WELL-SUITED FOR LARGE INSTALLATIONS. ECONOMICAL BENEFITS ARE REDUCED ENERGY CONSUMPTION, LESS MAINTENANCE-AND OPERATING COSTS, SMALLER INVESTMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF PIPES AND HEAT EXCHANGERS, THEREFORE THE OVERALL-PICTURE HAS TO BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT.
