Summary

ENTHALPIES OF VAPOURIZATION AND ISOBARIC LIQUID HEAT CAPACITIE S OF HYDROCARBONS WERE CALCULATED BY USING A PREVIOUSLY DEVELOPED CUBIC EQUATION OF STATE. THE ENTHALPY OF VAPOURIZATION PREDICTIONS WERE IN GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE AVAILABLE EXPERIMENTAL DATA AND COMPARED FAVOURABLY WITH THOSE OBTAINED BY USING PREDICTIVE METHODS PUBLISHED IN THE LITERATURE. THE RESULTS OBTAINED WITH LIQUID HEAT CAPACITIES WERE SATISFACTORY IN MOST CASES. CHARACTERIZING PARAMETERS PROPOSED BY CARRIER ET AL. WERE USED TO DEVELOP GENERAL CORRELATIONS FOR ENTHALPIES OF VAPOURIZATION AND VAPOUR PRESSURES OF HYDROCARBONS.
