Summary

BASED ON AVAILABLE EXPERIMENTAL PVT MEASUREMENTS REPORTED IN LITERATURE, A MODIFIED BENEDICT-WEBB-RUBIN EQUATION OF STATE FOR R115 IS PROPOSED. THE CHARACTERISTICS OF DERIVED THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES SUCH AS ISOCHORIC SPECIFIC HEAT CAPACITY, ISOBARIC SPECIFIC HEAT CAPACITY AND SPEED OF SOUND HAVE BEEN CRITICALLY EXAMINED. THE AUXILIARY SATURATED LIQUID DENSITY EQUATION, WHICH HAS BEEN USED TO CALCULATE THE SATURATED THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES IS DEVELOPED FROM 220 TO 450 K AND PRESSURES UP TO 10 MEGAPASCALS WHICH CORRESPOND TO THE DENSITY RANGE UP TO 1,244 KG/M3.
