CORRELATION EQUATIONS FOR BOILING HEAT TRANSFER ASSOCIATED WITH R113 REPLACEMENT FLUIDS.

CORRELATIONS DE TRANSFERT DE CHALEUR POUR L'EBULLITION DE FLUIDES DE REMPLACEMENT DU R113.

Author(s) : JOMARD T., LALLEMAND M.

Summary

THE USE OF R113 AS A REFRIGERANT IN BOILING HEAT TRANSFER HAS BEEN LARGELY DEVELOPED WITHIN THE FIELD OF ELECTRONIC COMPOUND REFRIGERATION. TO FIND SUBSTITUTES FOR THAT LATTER, THE AUTHORS HAVE DEVELOPED AN EXPERIMENTAL APPARATUS FOR THE DETERMINATION OF BOILING HEAT TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS OF VARIOUS FLUIDS AT DIFFERENT OPERATING CONDITIONS (FC72, PP1, GOLDEN EX70). THE RESULTS SHOW A LACK OF THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF THESE SUBSTITUTES WHEN COMPARED WITH THE R113. THE OBTAINED CURVES GENERALLY FIT THE FORSTER AND ZUBER EQUATIONS WHOSE MULTIPLICATOR COEFFICIENT HAS BEEN CALCULATED. THE DENSITIES OF CRITICAL FLUXES COULD BE PREDICTED BY ZUBER EQUATION.
