Summary
An experiment has been initiated to study oscillatory heat transfer in a periodically reversing pipe flow. A multivariate statistical analysis was employed to obtain a correlation equation for the cycle-averaged Nusselt number in terms of the Reynolds number, the dynamic Reynolds number, and the dimensionless fluid displacement.
