Critical heat flux in upflow convective boiling of refrigerant binary mixtures.
Author(s) : CELATA G. P., CUMO M., SETARO T.
Type of article: Article
Summary
The critical heat flux (CHF) in forced convective upflow was investigated at different compositions of the mixture R12-R114. The test section used consists of a vertical, stainless-steel, uniformly heated tube 2.1 m long, with an inside diameter of 7.57 mm. The experimental results show an almost linear dependence of the CHF on the composition of the mixture, even though deviations from linearity were detected as a function of thermal hydraulic conditions.
