PAPILLOMA IS A COMMON DISEASE IN THE DEPARTMENT OF OTORHINOLARYNGOLOGY. THE ANATOMICAL FEATURES OF RIDGES AND HOLLOWS OF EXTERNAL EAR CANAL, THE AURICLE, NASAL CAVITY, PHARYNX AND THE LARYNX OFTEN MAKE LOCAL TREATMENT DIFFICULT AND HAZARDOUS. USING CRYOSURGERY, THOSE DISEASES CAN BE TREATED EASILY. THE SIMPLICITY OF APPLICATION, MINIMAL SUFFERING AND EARLY RECOVERY ARE ADVANTAGES OF THIS TECHNIQUE. THE AUTHORS STARTED TO USE CRYOSURGERY ON DISEASE OF THOSE PARTS IN 1977 ; UP TO NOW THEY HAVE 56 CASES ON RECORD. OVER 9 YEARS OF FOLLOW-UP ON, THE RESULTS HAVE BEEN INVARIABLY GRATIFYING.
