THE DEVELOPMENT AND THE CLINICAL APPLICATIONS FOR CONGENITAL PREAURICULAR FISTULA: REPORT OF 74 CASES.

Summary

CRYOSURGERY WAS USED IN TREATING CONGENITAL PREAURICULAR FISTU LAE IN A TOTAL OF 74 PATIENTS. THE POSTOPERATIVE FOLLOW-UP PERIODS RANGED FROM 7 TO 79 MONTHS. SIXTY-SIX PATIENTS (89.2%) WERE CURED AFTER THE TREATMENT, AND IN 8 PATIENTS (10.8%) THE MALADY RECURRED WITHIN 3 TO 36 MONTHS. THE FABRICATION OF THE CRYOSURGICAL PROBE, THE SELECTION OF THE PATIENT AND THE TECHNIQUE OF TREATMENT ARE PRESENTED.
