Summary

THIS PROCEDURE IS PERFORMED UNDER LOCAL ANAESTHESIA. THE DIAMETER OF THE CRYOPROBE CAN BE VARIED FROM 2.5 TO 4 MM, DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF THE CYST. THE LENGTHS OF APPLICATION TIME VARY FROM 50 SECONDS TO 1 MINUTE. TWO FREEZE-THAW CYCLES ARE PREFERRED. THE AUTHOR REPORTED ON 5 CASES OF EPIBULBAR CONJUNCTIVAL CYSTS TREATED WITH CRYOTHERAPY. ONLY 2 CASES HAD OCULAR SURGERY PREVIOUSLY. THE SIZE OF THE CYST VARIED FROM 5 X 4 MM TO 7 X 5 MM. FOLLOW-UP TIME VARIED FROM 1 YEAR AND 9 MONTHS TO 4 YEARS AND 5 MONTHS. NO RECURRENCE WAS FOUND.
