CURRENT COMPUTER CALCULATIONS AND COMPRESSOR DEVELOPMENTS.

Author(s) : ADOLPH U.

Summary

COMPUTER CALCULATION MAKES IT POSSIBLE NOW TO REACH MAGNITUDES WHICH ARE NOT INTERESTING FOR COMPRESSORS, DUE TO MANUFACTURE AND USE TOLERANCES. THE SIMULATION OF A PROCESS OF ENERGY CONVERSION IN A COMPRESSOR GENERALLY DID NOT GIVE VALID SOLUTIONS FOR THE PREDICTION OF ITS PERFORMANCES. FOR THE CALCULATION OF BEARINGS UNDER DYNAMIC CONDITIONS, SIMPLE GENERAL SOLUTIONS SHOULD BE FOUND. FOR VALVES SUCH SOLUTIONS ARE ALREADY AVAILABLE. IN THE NEAR FUTURE, THE COOPERATION BETWEEN RESEARCH WORKERS AND MANUFACTURERS SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO TEST RESULTS RATHER THAN TO MATHEMATICAL CONSIDERATIONS.
