Decibels and degrees. Interactions between thermal and acoustic comfort in offices.

Summary

The aim of the investigation is to assess the level of constraint which the desire for acoustic comfort places on the ability to achieve thermal comfort - and vice versa. Results of various investigations are presented and a summary of the implications for the provision of adaptive opportunities for occupant comfort are assessed. Suggestions are made for the direction of future research in this important area.
