THE PAPER SURVEYS DEFROSTING PROCESSES, DEFINES THE DEFROSTING CYCLE AND DETAILS AND DISCUSSES THE RESULTS OF TESTS CARRIED OUT ON SIX DIFFERENT REFRIGERATION PLANT ON THE THERMAL, ENERGETIC AND ECONOMIC LEVELS.
