Summary

IN A CHAMBER OF THE CYLINDER-PISTON TYPE SUPPORTED ON ALL SIDES BY A RIGID ALLOY CYLINDER, THE P-V DEPENDENCE OF SOLID ARGON OF 99.99% PURITY IS MEASURED AT 77 AND 201 K AND PRESSURES UP TO 3,000 MPASCAL. AN EQUATION OF THE DEPENDENCE OF THE ISOTHERMAL BULK MODULUS ON THE VOLUME IS PROPOSED WHICH IS IN AGREEMENT WITH THE EXPERIMENTAL DATA OBTAINED BY VARIOUS METHODS AND AT VARIOUS TEMPERATURES AND PRESSURES.
