Description of binary and ternary mixtures of R125, R134a and R143a with BACKONE equations.

Summary

The BACKONE equation was shown earlier to give a good prediction of thermodynamic properties of a series of pure refrigerants. In the paper, the equation is applied to binary and ternary mixtures of R125, R134a and R143a. For binary mixtures only one adjustable mixture parameter is required, while prediction for the ternary mixtures are based purely on the binary models. Results are shown for the phase equilibrium, homogeneous phase densities, and heat capacities.
