Desiccant development for gas-fired desiccant cooling systems.
Author(s) : BELDING W. A., et al.
Summary
Modelling efforts have demonstrated the superiority of a Type 1M (moderate) isotherm in achieving high COP and cooling capacities for gas-fired desiccant cooling applications. In the paper, desiccant systems that exhibit Type 1M behaviour are discussed. Material property determinations presented include adsorption/desorption isotherms, adsorption rate, heat of adsorption, and cyclic aging performance. Properties were measured on individual material components as well as selected component mixtures.
