Design criteria for small heat pumps.

Author(s) : FORSÉN M., GRANRYD E.

Summary

This paper shows that it is possible to find a technical optimum where the maximum relative energy saving is reached, and that this optimum is relatively insensitive for small changes in the size of the heat pump. Based on the optimum size, economical calculations are performed to indicate how large the investment in the heat pump installation can be, while still being economical in comparison to an electrical heating system. A sensitivity analysis is performed to identify the influence of changes in the economical parameters.
