Summary

The authors developed a long-term heat storage air-conditioning system using ice and natural energy for the purpose of obtaining a more compact and cheaper system unlike the conventional system. Consequently, they developed the technique of placing several centimetres of water in the large sized tank made from concrete, introducing open air in winter, and making ice. They established an automatic method and used it to manufacture ice; they also removed cold water efficiently during air-conditioning use in summer. With the application of this system, effect variation was applied to greenhouse air conditioning of a Jinnai farm 21 plant factory. It is possible for this system to be applied in commonly encountered buildings.
