THE DESIGN PROCEDURE DEVELOPED BY THE AUTHOR FOR SPOT COOLING SYSTEMS IS REVIEWED. IT IS POINTED OUT THAT THERE IS USUALLY MORE THAN ONE DESIGN OPTION AVAILABLE TO THE DESIGNER OF SUCH SYSTEMS. A FEW GUIDELINES ARE PROPOSED FOR CHOOSING THE SPOT COOLING SYSTEM THAT SATISFIES THE NEEDS IMPOSED BY THE WORK SITUATION OF THE INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT.
