Summary
Long- and short-term prediction algorithms for chilled water load in a district heating and cooling plant are described: viz 24-hour load prediction of the next day of 30-minute-ahead load prediction. The 30-minute-ahead load is predicted by utilizing the predicted 24-hour load pattern and a triple exponential smoothing method. Results obtained through a field test in the Senri-Chuo district of Japan are shown.
