Summary

The authors predicted the total cooling load of the next day and the cooling load 30 minutes later at the district cooling and heating plant in Senri Chuou, using time series modelling. The advantage of the cooling-load prediction method using time series modelling is that data is not necessary, except the past present cooling load itself. It seems to be the most applicable method. More than 90% of the prediction results fall within the prediction error of 3 Gcal/h, even in the rising period of the cooling load in summer (5 Gcal/h is acceptable from the viewpoint of refrigeration capacity).
