Summary

DEFINES TECHNOLOGICAL COMPONENTS OF THE THERMAL LOAD AS INTERNAL HEAT GAINS FROM MACHINERY, LIGHTING AND PEOPLE. TREATS THE RANDOM NATURE OF THESE HEAT GAINS AND THEIR EFFECT ON THE AIR CONDITIONING LOAD. RESULTS OF EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS OF THE INCIDENCE AND CONTRIBUTION OF SOME OF THESE GAINS. PUTS FORWARD A METHOD BASED ON THE DETERMINATION OF TYPICAL VALUES OF THE THERMAL LOAD FOR A SINGLE BUILDING AND FOR A GROUP OF PREMISES SERVED BY AIR CONDITIONING AND VENTILATION SYSTEMS WITH VARIABLE OUTPUT. POSSIBILITY OF REDUCING THE THEORETICAL PRODUCTION OF AIR AND COOLING OUTPUT OF THE SYSTEM AND SAVINGS IN INVESTMENT AND RUNNING COSTS.
