Author(s) : XIONG L. Y., HOU Y., WANG J., et al.

Summary

The paper presents a small reverse-Brayton cryocooler for performance and endurance tests in a laboratory. The cooler is designed for a refrigeration load of 100 W at 77 K, and two small helium screw compressors as well as two small turboexpanders with externally-pressurized gas bearings are adopted in the cooler for achieving long life without wear. A simple description of the cooler and a summary of the test program are also presented.
