Summary
Absorption chillers are mainly used for commercial air conditioning domain. In this field, it was difficult to produce temperature lower than 4°C because of freezing point of the refrigerant. On the other hand, an absorption product reached below 0°C by mixing a little amount of absorbent with refrigerant in the evaporator and reducing its freezing temperature. However, the working efficiency of this product was relatively low because of its two-stage cycle design. In this report, we developed an absorption chiller which outputs of 1 to 3°C chilled water with single-stage cycle and with less degradation of working efficiency that exceeded 0.7.
