Summary

In the field of refrigeration and air-conditioning, several refrigerant mixtures have been developed in attempts to achieve high performance. Most of these refrigerant mixtures are non-azeotropic. This study proposes a new heat transfer correlation for refrigerant mixtures at condensation based on the obtained experimental results. Four circulation compositions R32/R152a and two circulation compositions R32/R1234ze(E) inside microfin tubes with an outside diameter of 4 mm at an average saturation temperature of 35 °C are used for the experiment. The proposed correlation is for pure refrigerant, corrected by Silver and Bell & Ghaly method and a coefficient F. The coefficient F represents the effects of mass, velocity, and quality. The predicted values of the proposed correlation agree approximately between +30 % and –30 % with the experimental results.
