A REFRIGERATING UNIT DRIVEN BY A DIESEL ENGINE IS SUITABLE FOR QUICK-FREEZING SYSTEMS AND WITH THE ENERGY SITUATION IN JAPAN TODAY IT IS POSSIBLE TO REDUCE RUNNING COSTS. THE AUTHORS ARE OF THE OPINION THAT THE APPLICATION OF THESE ENGINE-DRIVEN UNITS WILL WIDEN TOTAL ENERGY SYSTEMS, INCLUDING THEGENERATION OF ELECTRICAL POWER.
