THE MEAN DIPOLAR FIELD M OF MAGNETIC IMPURITIES IN A SUPERCONDUCTOR IS SHOWN TO BE INDEPENDENT OF A SAMPLE SHAPE M. THE FIELD-INDUCED NMR LINE SHIFT APPEARS TO BE COMPARABLE WITH A COMMON KNIGHT SHIFT.
