Discussion on optimization design of a linear compressor for a pulse tube cryocooler.

Author(s) : YAN P. D., CHEN G. B., TANG K., et al.

Summary

An experimental two-stage Stirling-type pulse tube cryocooler system is being constructed. A cooling power of 0.5 W is proposed to be gained in the temperature range of 10-20 K. A dual-opposed-piston linear compressor with about 300 W compressing work is necessary to drive this cooler. In this paper the optimization design of the compressor is discussed.
