Summary

The east zone of Rome is an area where administration and public offices will be transferred in a near future, SDO about 850 000 m3, 80 ha, leaving out the centre of the town. The study deals with the energy characterization of the area, including both existing residential buildings and new premises, and the feasibility study of a district heating and cooling system optimization. The latter includes evaluation from a technical and political point of view, by means of energy and environmental parameters (objective scores) weighted by suitable coefficients which take into account the Administrative decisions included in the General Energetic and Environmental Planning of the City.
