Doctors, lawyers and building-associated diseases.

Summary
Increased litigation is expected to arise from suspected cases of sick building syndrome and Legionnaire's disease. The medical profession is concerned with identification and cure, and may not be able to identify the cause. In many cases, a small degree of disability of the subject will not justify costs of tests which may provide a better diagnosis. Few work-related illnesses can be directly related to a specific exposure, so there must be doubt as to the dominant factor. A legal definition must be more certain. Many references. A.R.T.
