This is a report on the state-of-the-art of domestic hot water heat pump technology, its application and the existing markets in North America, Europe and Japan. Domestic hot water heat pump systems are examined for both residential and commercial buildings, and for water heating only or for integrated systems (in combination with air conditioning). This information was obtained from research reports, manufacturer product literature, market studies and personal communication with experts.
