Double-deck cooling tower.

Type of article: Article
Summary
For the cooling tower for district heating-cooling (DHC) systems in Tokyo or other metropols and their satellite cities, reduction of installation space is a priority, given the high land prices. The author developed an entirely new cooling tower configuration, the "double decker". In order to justify their conception and confirm DHC applicability, experiments were made, using the fullscale test tower. They confirmed that installation space can be reduced by about 30%.
