Dropwise condensation on a vertical plate.

Summary
Experiments were carried out in a climatic chamber with a special humid zone to investigate condensation on a vertical cooper plate. It is found that condensation shows a long time periodicity which is basically caused by the collective roll down of primary droplets. A simple stochastic model is qualitatively in agreement with these experimental findings.
