Summary

Because of the international rules, some refrigerants presently used in vapour compression plants have to be replaced within few years. In order to get and to use the nowadays on sale alternative refrigerants, a starting cost and a higher operating cost is required. In the paper a rapid analysis method to value the global substitution cost is presented.
