THE ECONOMICS OF INDUSTRIAL HEAT PUMPS IS STUDIED FROM A CORRELATION FOR THE PRICE OF PUMPS IN TERMS OF THEIR CAPACITY. THE EFFECT OF VARIOUS PARAMETERS IS CONSIDERED (COST OF ELECTRIC POWER, OF PETROLEUM, OF INSTALLATION, ETC). A COMPARISON IS MADE BETWEEN ELECTRICAL AND GAS HEAT PUMPS. THE EFFECT OF VARIOUS INCENTIVES IS CALCULATED.
