THE PRIMARY ENERGY REQUIREMENTS OF THE VARIOUS EXISTING HEATING PROCESSES ARE GIVEN AND PREDICTIONS ARE GIVEN FOR THE NEXT TEN YEARS, RELATING TO THE INCREASE OF HEATING BY ELECTRIC HEAT PUMP IN THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY. THE POSSIBLE PRIMARY ENERGY SAVINGS ARE DISCUSSED AND, BY CALCULATION, THE ECONOMIC ADVANTAGE OF USING SINGLE-PURPOSE HEAT PUMPS WITH POSSIBLE ACCUMULATION IS SHOWN. R.R.
