Type of article: Article
Summary
States that space heating using heat pumps can halve a given rate of energy consumption and the steady increase in efficiency of power stations has enhanced the attraction of electric heat pumps. Maintains that from a technical point of view the electric heat pump is the simplest option, but the financial situation does not favour their application for space heating in The Netherlands. For this market, natural gas-fired heat pumps are preferred.
