Effect of ammonia-water mixture database on cycle calculations.

Summary
A comparative evaluation of ammonia-water mixture thermodynamic property databases was performed. A brief description of each database is presented. A comparison of thermodynamic equilibrium, projected from each database and experimental data is made in selected pressure, temperature and composition ranges. Finally, cycle performance projections for a GAX cycle are presented and compared. Results indicate that COP calculations are influenced by the choice of database.
