Summary

Einstein cycle is a kind of single-pressure absorption refrigerator, without any moving component, driven by low qualified heat source. The original cycle is improved in this paper to modify thermal performance of the system. Exergy analysis models for all thermal parts of the improved cycle on the basis of the exergy analysis method are described. Energy-saving places are presented to minimize the exergy losses and optimize the whole refrigeration cycle. In addition, the generator and the condenser are the main components where exergy losses exist.
