EFFECT OF CO2 ON THE STORAGE QUALITY OF POTATO.
[In Romanian. / En roumain.]
Author(s) : NICULESCU F.
Type of article: Article
Summary
THE AUTHOR GIVES THE RESULTS OF INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE EFFECT OF VARIOUS CO2 CONCENTRATIONS (0.03, 1, 3, 5, AND 10%) ON THE OCCURRENCE OF INTERNAL BREAKDOWN IN POTATO TUBERS. IT WAS OBSERVED THAT CO2 FAVOURS BROWNING IN TERMS OF ITS CONCENTRATION. THE AUTHOR RECOMMENDS AN ATMOSPHERE WITH A LOW CO2 CONTENT (LESS THAN 1%).
