Summary
The air thermal environment is mainly influenced by factors such as air temperature, air velocity, cleanliness, humidity and so on. The thermal flow characteristics should be thoroughly investigated to improve the thermal comfort of indoor ventilation system. The 4-way cassette air conditioner is well known to bring out better performance about thermal comfort than the stand type air conditioner. The study is performed on the higher ceiling environment than the common buildings or classrooms. The indoor thermal comfort by 4-way cassette air conditioner is analyzed with various discharge angles. The effects of insulation of the building and outdoor air conditions are included in the wall boundary conditions. The thermal comfort is also analyzed in accordance with ASHRAE standard.
