EFFECT OF OXYGEN CONCENTRATION ON SUPERCONDUCTIVITY OF BSCCO COMPOUNDS CONTAINING POTASSIUM IN SUBSTITUTION.

Author(s) : HAN Z.

Type of article: Article

Summary

THE SUPERCONDUCTING PROPERTIES ARE SENSITIVE TO THE OXYGEN CONCENTRATION AND THE CRITICAL TEMPERATURE AT ZERO FIELD OF BSCCO CONTAINING POTASSIUM IN SUBSTITUTION CAN BE SHIFTED OVER A RANGE OF ABOUT 22 K BY THE CHANGING OXYGEN CONCENTRATION ; NO STRUCTURAL DIFFERENCE INDUCED BY OXYGEN WERE OBSERVED. THE CHANGE IN SUPERCONDUCTING PROPERTIES MAY BE THE RESULT OF A CHANGE IN COPPER AVERAGE VALENCE STATE. IN ADDITION, THE CHANGE IN SUPERCONDUCTING PHASE WITH POTASSIUM ION CONCENTRATION IS ALSO STUDIED.
