Effect of refrigerant fluid on the performances of an adsorption cycle during refrigeration.

Influence du fluide frigorigène sur les performances d'un cycle a adsorption en production de froid.

Author(s) : FOLLIN S., GOETZ V., GUILLOT A.

Summary

A thermodynamic study of a basic adsorption cycle for cold production was done. The cycle is composed of an adsorber, a condenser and an evaporator. The Dubinin-Astakhov equation used takes into account the physical properties of the material and the refrigerant fluid. The fields of air conditioning, chilling and freezing were studied for two levels of ambient temperature: 288 and 303 K. The COP is calculated for each cold temperature and for the different fluids studied.
