Summary

IN THE COLD ROOMS OF THE MOSCOW TRADE OFFICE OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES OF LENINGRAD DISTRICT AND VNIKTIHOLODPROMA, A TEST WAS CARRIED OUT ON THE STORAGE OF JONATHAN APPLES IN ORDER TO DETERMINE THE TEMPERATURES PROVIDING A DECREASE IN LOSSES. THE EFFECT OF TEMPERATURES OF 276, 273 AND 272 K (3, 0 AND -1 DEG C) + OR -0.5 K ON THEIR STORAGE LIFE WAS STUDIED. THE TEST RESULTS SHOWED THE SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGES OF STORAGE AT 276 K + OR -0.5 K.
