Summary
EFFECTIVE DEFROSTING OF PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS ENSURES THAT THE REDUCTION IN ENERGY SAVINGS CAUSED BY FROSTING WILL BE RELATIVELY MARGINAL. THE PAPER PRESENTS CALCULATED FROSTING LIMITS, TOGETHER WITH THE QUANTITIES OF CONDENSATE PRECIPITATED OUT UNDERVARIOUS AIR CONDITIONS. ALTERNATIVE METHODS OF DEFROSTING PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS ARE ALSO DISCUSSED.
