Summary

A SIMPLIFIED METHOD FOR PREDICTING LAMINAR GRAVITY CONTROLLED CONDENSATION CHARACTERISTICS IS DEVELOPED ON THE BASIS OF TWO-PHASE BOUNDARY LAYER THEORY AND IS APPLIED TO THE CONDENSATION OF A NON-AZEOTROPIC MIXTURE CONTAINING A SMALL AMOUNT OF AIR (AIR-R12-R114). THE EFFECTS OF AIR ARE EVALUATED OVER A WIDE RANGE OFMASS FRACTIONS OF EACH COMPONENT. THE EXPERIMENTAL RESULT ON HEAT TRANSFER AGREES WELL WITH THE PRESENT THEORETICAL ONES WITHIN + OR -20%. (BULL.
