Efficiency improvement of low pressure steam jet driven ejector cooling plants.

Author(s) : SØE L., LUND S.

Summary

In autumn 1998 a steam jet driven ejector cooling plant for air conditioning purpose was built in Denmark. The cooling capacity of the ejector cooling plant using water as refrigerant is 200 kW, and the ejector is driven by low pressure steam generated by means of district heating from the municipal transmission network. In the paper, the system design and two different control strategies are presented; the obtained test results and practical experience in running the plant are presented.
