Summary

A joint research programme involving the National Taiwan University and the Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration on ejector cooling technology development has resulted in many achievements. It was demonstrated that R141b is a suitable working fluid for the ejector cooling system. 1-D analysis of the ejector design was first carried out. Experimental results showed that the COP of an ejector cooling system can be 0.54 at a vapour-generating temperature of 84 °C, a condensing temperature of 28 °C and an evaporating temperature of 8 °C. Ejector cooling technology was shown to have a wide range of applications.
