Summary
THE EFFLUENT CLEANING STATION AT BODEN (SWEDEN) WAS ONE OF THE FIRST INSTALLATIONS TO OPERATE A HEAT PUMP USING EFFLUENT AS A HEAT SOURCE. A TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC ANALYSIS WAS MADE OF THE INSTALLATION AND OPERATIONAL DATA WAS LOGGED DURING A YEAR'S TEST RUN SINCE THERE WERE PROBLEMS THAT NEEDED INVESTIGATION, PARTICULARLY THE CLOGGING AND CORROSION OF THE HEAT EXCHANGER. THE REPORT GIVES DETAILS OF OPERATING TEMPERATURES, SYSTEM PRESSURE DROP, ELECTRICAL CONSUMPTION AND THE OUTPUT OF THE HEAT PUMP. (SYNOP. SWED. BUILD. RES., SE., N.2, 1983/03, 16.
