WITH THE EXAMPLE OF THE EXTENSION OF ENEL (ITALY) ELECTRICITY RATE TO USERS HAVING AN INSTALLED CAPACITY HIGHER THAN 2.5 MW, THE AUTHOR DESCRIBES THE TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC ADVANTAGES OF REFRIGERATION PLANT WITH ICE STORAGE AND GIVES CRITERIA FOR THE COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS OF THIS APPLICATION AND EVALUATION OF SAVINGS WITH THE ILLUSTRATION OF A SPECIFIC CASE.
