Author(s) : PUCAR M.

Summary

THE PAPER PRESENTS THE INFLUENCE OF DIFFERENT FEATURES OF BIOCLIMATIC DESIGN IN RELATION TO ENERGY REQUIREMENTS. SOME OF THE FACTORS WHICH SHOULD BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT WHEN CHOOSING THE SITE AND PLANNING OF THE SETTLEMENTS ARE REVIEWED. THE AIM IS TO INDICATE POSSIBILITIES FOR THE ADAPTATION OF THE DESIGN AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE BUILDING TO CONDITIONS OF THE SITE IN ORDER TO REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION. THE SITE AND THE POSITION OF THE BUILDING DETERMINE IN A SIGNIFICANT DEGREE ENERGY REQUIREMENTS. TIMELY USE OF SIMPLE PLANNING TOOLS AND MINOR DEPARTURES FROM THE USUAL PRACTICE CAN RESULT IN PLANNING PRACTICES WHICH SATISFY THE CONDITIONS OF BIOCLIMATIC DESIGN.
